Lilies of the Valley has a clear mission statement with solid finances, a simple vision and stable leadership. We have had the same Board of Directors in place for seven years.  We have over two years' worth of operating expenses in reserve at any given time as part of our by-laws.  Any excess funds go straight to supporting our mission statement. It is easy to volunteer with Lilies of the Valley!

Volunteers needed:

Health Fair Coordinator:  When health fairs are scheduled, coordinate volunteers and set up/take down display at the health fair location.  Display is easy to set up and take down and you do not personally have to volunteer at the health fair as long as you have others to staff it.  Must be able to communicate via email so that you can give volunteers clear directions.  You also need storage space to keep the health fair materials (a closet will do) or you will need to be willing to pick it up and take it back to where it can be stored in a convenient location.  We have approximately 6-8 health fairs a year.


Health Fair Volunteers:  Volunteers work 2-3 hour shifts at health fairs as needed to distribute awareness materials.  No medical advice is given, volunteers just give materials with a ready smile.  Health fair coordinator supplies directions to event and parking details.  Event dates are listed on Bulletin Board page as they become available (see list for active dates!).

POSITIONS MAY BE AVAILABLE in JAN 2013.  Inquire if interested, especially if taking on other volunteer duties (these could be combined into a director role if a position is available and the volunteer is also interested in serving on the Board).
