Did you know?
Every 7 minutes a woman is diagnosed with
a gynecologic cancer; an estimated 82,000 cases will be diagnosed in the US
this year alone. Ovarian cancer alone ranks fifth as a cause of cancer
deaths among women, the deadliest cancer of the female
reproductive system. However, if detected early, there are many successful
treatment options for ovarian cancer. Ovarian
cancer is not a "silent killer" – it does have symptoms and risk factors and
treatment options. Lilies of the Valley is organized
to help educate women about these cancers, and to support those who already
have them.
