Newly Diagnosed Patient Packets:

This program has been implemented with the coordination of area oncologists.  Several Huntsville offices are participating, and the UAB gynecologic oncology program is equipped with packet information for North Alabama patients.  These packets contain helpful information for those who have just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, including phone numbers of other survivors, educational resources from national organizations, and information about our support group.  Most importantly, these patients receive the packets at initial diagnosis, while they are still in the hospital, to help alleviate initial fears and lack of information about the disease.

Distribution of Ovarian Cancer Literature:

Physician offices and other businesses all over the Tennessee Valley are now receiving ovarian cancer bookmarks.

Bookmarks are available for anyone who needs them.  Click here to request one!

Symptom cards are available for any participant in one of our Teal Talk programs.  Click here to schedule a Teal Talk today!

Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month:

Lilies of the Valley recognizes September as Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month (GCAM.  Check our website often for event details!

Public Garden Project:

Lilies of the Valley is currently implementing the Garden of Life and Remembrance.  This garden could be a place for individuals to reflect or for our group to gather to remember those we have lost, or even to celebrate our milestones, such as anniversaries of survival.  We envision this being a place for other groups to utilize also, and we hope that the use of public space will increase awareness in general about ovarian cancer.  Bricks are available for purchase to be placed in honor or memory of those who battle this disease.  Sonsorships are available on a limited basis.

TEAL TALK Speaker's Program:

This program is designed for survivors to share their experiences with ovarian cancer while educating others about the risk factor, signs, and symptoms of the disease.  Speakers are specially trained and provide powerful presentations.  If you know of a group who would like to schedule a speaker, please

Did you know?

Lilies of the Valley has no paid employees; we exist entirely from the work of volunteers, the donations we receive, and the funds we raise.

Our volunteers consist of  survivors, family members, or community members who want to help raise awareness about ovarian cancer.

Many opportunities exist for individuals or organizations to help!
