We Offer Support

• Support Group -- meets at 5:30 on the last Tuesday of each month at Clearview Cancer Institute.  Family members and caregivers meet at the same time and location in a breakout session.  For more information about specific activities, click here.

• Distribution of informational materials to survivors and newly diagnosed patients.

We Reach Out

• Outreach to newly diagnosed patients -- newly diagnosed ovarian cancer patients receive resource packets via their oncologist or gynecologic oncologist while they are in the hospital.
   

We Raise Awareness

• Community awareness advocacy group -- Our advocacy committee is determined to make a difference in our North Alabama communities!  This committee is open to anyone who want to help raise awareness about ovarian cancer in the Tennessee Valley.   Click here for a list of projects that this committee has adopted.

We Speak Out

• Our Legislative Action Team sends emails and letters to our Washington officials to encourage specifics  funding opportunities for ovarian cancer research.  Join our team to seek support for increased federal funding for ovarian cancer research.  It will only take a few minutes of your time three or four times a year.  Those few minutes will help give strength to our voices in Washington as we encourage our elected officials to support legislation for increased federal funding for this vital research.  Those few minutes may just save lives.  Click here to join the Legislative Action Team.
